Build the kingdom.

From today’s Scripture: “‘By their fruits you will know them.’”—Mt 7:20
In the time of Jesus, many proclaimed that they were the Messiah. Often it seemed that they were proclaiming their own kingdoms. Jesus was different. He proclaimed his heavenly Father who sent him.
Others sought to be served; Jesus came to serve. Often I ask myself the question, Do I seek to build my kingdom or the Kingdom of God? My kingdom will fall, Jesus’ Kingdom will last forever.
Let us pray: Loving Lord, I pray that each and every day I will seek to build your Kingdom. Help me to proclaim you by my words and actions.
