Trust in God.
From today’s Scripture: “‘I tell you…he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of persistence.’”—Lk 11:8
We can be very impatient: “I want to lose 5 pounds—NOW!” We can give up on prayer because we don’t see immediate results. But in fact there is an instant result: we are turning our heart to God in that moment—no small thing. Beyond the specific prayer request is the trust and bonding with God, which is essential for our relationship with the Lord.
Let us pray: O God help me to persevere in my prayer, accepting your timeline, not mine.
