The world’s highest IQ

From today’s Scripture: “…so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom, but on the power of God.”—1 Cor 2:5
There are some very smart people out there. We try to measure that by testing—we all know that people with high IQ test results are the smartest. Yet smart doesn’t always sound so smart. One man, who is said to have the world’s highest IQ, is a self-proclaimed racist and conspiracy theorist. “Love one another,” does not seem to be the driving force there!
Smart people generally are a great boon to society. But smartness is no guarantee toward wisdom. St. Paul reminds us today that faith, and all wisdom, starts with God. Otherwise, our smarts might lead us astray!
Let us pray: Lord, help me today to start with YOU! Give me the grace to put my own self-importance aside and stay on the true path.
