Conflict is uncomfortable.

From today’s Scripture: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” —Mt 18:20
In the face of sin, conflict is uncomfortable. How can we directly confront the sins against us, as Jesus tells us to do? How can we reconcile with each other and with ourselves when the confrontation seems impossible to navigate?
We must remember that we are all sinners but even still, we are all children of God. Learning to confront and forgive our sins against each other will prove to be a challenge, but Jesus promises us his presence when we gather in his name. He is with us even as we gather in disagreement or conflict. Today, let us find strength in Jesus’ presence as we listen to each other, take accountability for our actions, and work toward reconciliation.
Let us pray: Lord Jesus, today I ask you to grant me your guidance as I struggle through conflict with my brothers and sisters. Let us reconcile and love one another so that we may be united in your presence.
