Saving sinners

From today’s Scripture: “…Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”—1 Tm 1:15
This is really the whole point isn’t it? St. Paul sets up this statement by saying it is true and deserves full acceptance. Do we accept it? Do we truly believe that Jesus came not just for the holy, like other people, but for the sinner, like you and me?
If we are able to believe this, so much mercy is available! Turn to God today. That’s the first step to believing this. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He came into the world to save you. He came into the world to save me. It’s not an abstract concept. He really is our personal savior.
Let us pray: Dear Jesus, give me, a sinner, the grace to repent and turn to you.
