Let us be just.

From today’s Scripture: “Hear this, you who trample upon the needy and destroy the poor of the land! …. Never will I forget a thing they have done!” —Am 8:4,7
The prophet Amos says these words above, and Jesus speaks about a dishonest steward. Dishonesty and exploitation are still present in our world. Jesus corrects all of this injustice, calling us to deeper faith: “No servant can serve two masters.…You cannot serve both God and mammon.”
Let us pray: Jesus, help our hearts from being divided. Please fill them completely with your compassion.
