Daily Reflection

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Pray, pray, pray

From today’s Scripture: Jesus “told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.”—Lk 18:1

In addition to our promises of poverty, chastity and obedience, Glenmary brothers and priests promise to be men of prayer. While we share our community prayer together, we choose our own devotions and schedule our personal prayer.

It would be impossible to find a Glenmarian who doesn’t see prayer as absolutely essential to living out his vocation, doing his ministry every day. We each turn to God in our own way, with our own needs and at our own time.

Let us pray: Loving God, give us the strength and courage to trust in you always so that our daily prayer may not falter.
