Daily Reflection

31st Friday in Ordinary Time

Get out of the way.

From today’s Scripture: “I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me.”—Rm 15:18

St. Paul must have been a proud man–he writes about turning attention away from himself in more than one place. Yet look how much Christ accomplished in him! We all need to believe what Christ can do in our lives, and how our Christ-filled lives influence others’.  We need only to get out of the way. Pray about that. God will show us the way.

Let us pray: O God, you know me in every way. Help me to learn how to get out of the way and let you work in my life.
