Faithful vision
From today’s Scripture: “I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall be ever in my mouth.” —Ps. 34:2
A woman and her family were among the many flooded out of their home in Appalachian Kentucky, after a historic 2022 storm. The family moved from one house to the next, then was taken in by their pastor for temporary housing until a new house could be built. Husband, wife, three teens and now a new baby, all were in a horrible situation. Yet every week the family gathered to pray at the site where their home would be built. They thanked God for all of the blessings they had, they prayed for the wellbeing of the workers who would build the house. Even in the worst of situations, this family found their blessings and thanked God. We should do the same.
Let us pray: Dear Lord, help me to keep my problems in perspective today. Open my eyes so that I may see the many ways you bless me, all day long. Thank you, Jesus!
