What awaits us

From today’s Scripture: “For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life….“—1 Cor 15:22
The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is all about what awaits each of us. Mary as the first disciple, as the first to follow Jesus, as the only biblical person to know Jesus from conception to Pentecost demonstrates what waits for each of us. After death she was lifted to heaven, body and soul. For us it is our soul first and on the final day our body will be united with our soul. What a beautiful life awaits each of us.
Let us pray: O Lord, keep us on the right path with our eyes on Jesus, following the example of our Mother Mary. May we on the final day be in heaven, body and soul, forever.
