Who’s to blame?

From today’s Scripture: “[Jesus said to the Pharisees], ‘You judge by appearances, but I do not judge anyone.’”—Jn 8:15
The Bible is full of people judging others because it is full of stories of people and unfortunately most people judge others. When we listen to the news, many of us think we have a right to judge and condemn political leaders, whether they are local or national. When we have a problem in our lives, we often blame others, someone else is at fault.
Judging others is so common, even among Christians, that we can forget that Jesus told us very simply, “Do not judge.” People who stop judging others experience deep joy and peace, and find it easier to love.
Let us pray: Jesus, I want to be like you. Be with me today and keep me from judging any other member of your family.
