Fifth Sunday of Lent

Daily Reflection

Fifth Sunday of Lent

Fullness of life

From today’s Scripture:Thus says the Lord,… ‘See, I am doing something new!’”—Is 43:16,19

Isaiah told the people of Israel that the Lord is doing something new. He still is.

We all develop routines in our lives, and they can be helpful because we do not have to make decisions about every minute act we do each day. However, routines can be harmful when they prevent us from being aware that God wants us to do something new in our lives.

God may be inviting us to love new groups of people, people we used to ignore or look down on. If we fail to make the change, we may stay small and down while God wants to make us great lovers, wonderful forgivers, full of life like Jesus.

Let us pray: God, I belong to you and today I invite you to do something new in me, whatever you want, so I am more like Jesus. Let me love the unlovable person around me and forgive the unforgivable person in my family.
