Fourth Monday of Lent

Daily Reflection

Fourth Monday of Lent

Finding balance

From today’s Scripture: “‘Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe.’”—Jn 4:48

We are material and spiritual beings. As such we are called to experience life through both realities, which is not an easy task. We tend to be dualistic. Usually we focus on one and neglect the other, or we condemn one reality and praise the other. The readings remind us to rejoice in all of God’s creation. After all, we are called to live in the world but to live without attachments. Our destiny is to be one with God.

Let us pray: Divine Creator, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to live this human experience. Please help me appreciate the miracle of life without attachments that I may joyfully participate in your creation without reservations.
