Fourth Saturday in Ordinary Time

Daily Reflection

Fourth Saturday in Ordinary Time

We are different each day

From today’s Scripture: “And the apostles, coming together unto Jesus, related to him all things that they had done and taught.”—Mk 6:30

Jesus loved listening to the adventures of His apostles as they returned from sharing the Word of God. Sharing their times of fear as well as joy, I am sure, continued to bond Jesus with his apostles.

You might say you live a boring life. Not so! Your daily activities may be the same, but you are different each and every day. Through prayer or the reading of Scripture, by your reflections you see things differently each day. To share what happens each day around the kitchen table or on the phone with a friend allows us to be more life-filled. That makes life interesting.

Let us pray: Loving Jesus, you have called me to have a role in your Kingdom. Help me today to embrace my calling in life so that I may celebrate it and share it with my brothers and sisters.
