Game run

From today’s Scripture: “I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you,.”—1 Cor. 1:10
We see it most in sports, but really it’s true everywhere: We do more together than we can do alone. And we can get things done better when we all work together. Millions of people saw this on TV recently when a Cincinnati Bengals football player snatched the ball near the end of game and ran, protected by two teammates, completely to the other end of the field, to score a winning touchdown. His team was behind him—literally.
We live in a time of great divisions, sometimes in our Church, and even moreso in civic society. We are challenged by St. Paul to get our act together.
Let us pray: Loving God, today, help me to see past my own opinions and desires. Let me see those around me through the eyes of love.
