Fourth Thursday of Lent

Daily Reflection

Fourth Thursday of Lent

Let go, let God.

From today’s Scripture: “They forgot the God who had saved them, who had done great deeds in Egypt.”—Ps 106:21

One of the most powerful possessions that we have is our mind. A powerful mind  has allowed us to develop like no other species on this planet. But our mind can also make us feel like we are in control, it can make us question our need for God. Or maybe it can make us think that we are God.

What a paradox! Our strength becomes our weakness. Not surprisingly, we constantly forget that we are the creatures, not the Creator. Today, the readings remind us that our mind is God’s gift to explore, with creativity, the different ways in which God loves us.

Let us pray: Loving Creator, thank you for never forsaking me, even when I forsake you. Help me to remain humble so that I may always give you the glory in everything that I achieve.
