Gift of friendship
From today’s Scripture: “…he saw and believed.”—Jn 20:8
We just celebrated the birth of Christ and now today we reflect on his resurrection. It is all connected. As believers the birth of Christ—God made flesh—is only fully understood through our faith in the one crucified and Resurrected, Jesus Christ. John recorded many stories and words of Jesus that would otherwise have been lost. Though his gift of apostleship we too, today see and believe.
Let us pray: May my faith be as strong as St. John’s, to see and believe only by the evidence of an empty tomb. As I keep the Christmas joy, may I share my faith with those lost in doubt and unbelief.
