Imagination, ignited!

From today’s Scripture: When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.—Gal 4:4-5
As Christmastide continues we find ourselves in a story, the story of Christ. We find ourselves not only hearing a story but actually find ourselves within it. Christ came to seek and to save that which is his own. Therefore we are no longer slaves but friends and adopted children of God.
It is this story that ignites the imagination. The story of Christ is the story of humanity being found in him and God using that humanity (like Mary, for instance) to bring about the good news of our adoption into God’s reality.
Let us pray: Gracious Lord, you chose to use Mary, your servant, to join you in the telling and being in this story. Help me today, through your Holy Spirit, to see myself as your child. Give me grace, empower me to share your story!
