The path to joy

From today’s Scripture: “But for God all things are possible.”—Mt 19:26
People who struggle against poverty are often able to find joy in spite of hardship. That observation is not to ignore all of the bad effects of poverty. But if you work among the poor, you might often notice a sense of joy. Some people learn that possessions aren’t the path to joy; life is. The stress on families is great, but there are those who find happiness during their struggle. Children can be the greatest source of joy. It is the person without power who can say—and mean—”for God, all things are possible.”
Let us pray: Dear Lord, stir a joyous heart within me. Help me to trust your will, and your power in my life. Give me the gift of faith.
