We are abundantly blessed.

From today’s Scripture: “Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work.”—2 Cor 9:8
This Scripture passage addresses a common human concern that each of us as Christians likely experiences from time to time—the nagging worry that we do not have the gifts and talents required for our ministry and vocation. In this passage, we find clear reassurance to counteract that sense of insecurity and inadequacy: God is able to make every grace abundantly available to us. We will be given not just a little, or what is adequate, but an abundance. In this way, we will always have what we need to accomplish the ministry we are being called to, despite our fears of how daunting it may seem or how unprepared we feel for what lies ahead. What a grace-filled blessing!
Let us pray: Loving God, we thank you for the abundant graces you shower upon us, unique to each of our needs. Give us the wisdom to use these gifts well as we seek to build your kingdom.
