Saturday After Epiphany

Pray like a giraffe!

From today’s Scripture: We have this confidence in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”—1 Jn 5:14

There is a saying, Why are giraffes so tall? So that they may reach the food that others may never reach! There is also a saying for those who kneel before God: they stand tall in the world, for God has heard them and has granted them their hearts’ desires.

Brothers and sisters, prayer, in its many forms, links God and his people. Or to recall our friends the giraffes, dinner is served for everyone, but it is only the tall ones (the prayer warriors) who prevail! We must turn our hearts to prayer.

Let us pray: Bless me today, Lord, with enough craziness to believe that everything is possible for those who seek you in prayer.
