The Breath of God

From today’s Scripture: “Strengthen the hands that are feeble, / Make firm the knees that are weak, / Say to those whose hearts are frightened; / Be Strong, Fear not!”—Is 35:3-4
When life overwhelms me, I just say to myself “Breathe.” The Greek word for the Holy Spirit is Ruha and means “breath.” The breath of God strengthens me. The breath of God pumps my heart. The breath of God gives me courage to face the challenges of the day. I can be bold, loving, just, and truthful because Jesus lives and his breath is in me.
Let us pray: Thank you for the Holy Spirit, that strengthens me beyond my human inclinations and worries. Continue to allow me to stand strong and be loving regardless of what storms life blows my way.
