Second Sunday of Lent

Graced moments

From today’s Scripture: “…Peter said to Jesus, ‘Master, it is good that we here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.’”—Lk 9:33

Before making my first profession of vows, I made a retreat to spend time prayerfully listening to God. My last morning, I rose early to see the sun rise. The beauty of the sky filled my heart with joy. I did not want to leave.

Throughout our lives, God will give us many of these graced moments where we experience a glimpse of his divine glory. They are in our everyday encounters with people around us, creation, and most especially in the sacraments. We just need to open our eyes and hearts to them. To linger in them.

Let us pray: Lord, help me to see and experience your glory in the everyday moments of my life and when I meet you in the sacraments.
