The grace we need

From today’s Scripture: “Bless the Lord my soul; and do not forget all his gifts, who pardons all your sins, and heals all your ills…”—Ps 103:2-3
There are days when I wonder what really happened during that day. I find this especially true when my day is filled with routine busyness. What is happening “in the moment” seems to be a blur. Occasionally, I find it helpful at the end of the day to note the encounters, the blessings, and the missed opportunities. Sometimes, I do this on the reverse side of my daily list of “to do’s.” This forces me to be aware of the countless ways that the Lord has been present even in my routine day and to bless the Lord.
Let us pray: Lord, help me to remember today that you are gifting me with the graces I need. Thank you for guiding me to greater awareness of what you are doing in the routine of this day. Bless the Lord, O my soul!
