Sharing wisdom

From today’s Scripture: “All wisdom comes from the LORD… The word of God on high is the fountain of wisdom and her ways are everlasting. To whom has wisdom’s root been revealed? Who knows her subtleties? To whom has the discipline of wisdom been revealed”?—Sir 1:1-8
Wisdom seems to be in short supply in today’s world. Wisdom is not to be confused with knowledge, although knowledge can lead to wisdom. Take a few moments and recall the wisdom figures in your life. How did they share their wisdom with you? Through words or actions?
A friend taught me years ago a lesson that I have attempted to make a part of my daily life: What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness? In our own way let us all strive to be wisdom figures this day and as we journey through life.
Let us pray: Lord as I am about to begin my Lenten journey, bestow your Holy Spirit upon me. Let me see as you see, hear as you hear, and to love others as you love them.
