A genuine heart

From today’s Scripture: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.”—Matthew 11:29
Saint Bonaventure was known for his intelligence, patience, virtue and excellent listening skills. He’s known as the Franciscan men’s second founder, and his charming disposition attracted all those he encountered. His work was done humbly and with love.
I consider my work at Glenmary and at home to be a ministry. Just like Saint Bonaventure, I should start the day with a genuine heart, to serve those most in need. At the end of the day, I hope to have made a difference in the lives of all I’ve encountered, which renews my spirit and gives me energy to continue serving our Lord.
Let us pray: Lord, you’ve provided me with the skills I need to serve you the best way I can. Help me to do your work humbly and with a loving heart.
