Sitting with Jesus
From today’s Scripture: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.”—Lk 10:41
Luke tells us that Martha is burdened and anxious. The world is filled with Marthas. There is much that can cause us worry. Instead, Mary sits at Jesus’ feet and pays attention to him.
Sitting with Jesus is the spiritual remedy that we need to overcome the anxieties of life.
Let us pray: May we take time each day, to sit with Jesus and to know that with him, we can transform the daily chores and daily worries into loving service.
