Imperfect servants

From today’s Scripture: “We hold this treasure in earthen vessels.”—2 Cor 4:7
During my retreat prior to ordination, the director assigned this passage for reflection. I could identify then with the flaws and imperfections the image portrays, and more so over the years. And yet, God uses all of us very human vessels to further his kingdom. We are merely the latest in a long line of imperfect servants of the Lord.
Let us pray: Lord, mold me into the best possible vessel to serve you.
