Good enough for the Gospel
From today’s Scripture: “In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.”—Mt 18:14
Today’s Gospel is one of great comfort. A common phrase in my household is “good enough for government work” meaning it’s not perfect but it’ll do. The Good News we learn today is that God is not satisfied with just saving 99 out of 100, he pursues perfection. It’s seeking that one lost soul, even to the point of leaving the 99.
Let us pray: Lord, thank you for searching for me when I wander off the straight-and-narrow path.
