Seeing and hearing
From today’s Scripture: “’Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear? And do you not remember, when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?’”—Mk 8:18-19
The discipled have witnessed Jesus’ miracles and teachings but they still don’t get it! Was Jesus frustrated? I would think so. Maybe we are like the disciples. We do not see or hear or remember Jesus’ words or miracles in our lives. A close relationship with Jesus helps us see more clearly, hear more strongly and remember more dearly the calling of Jesus. That relationship is nourished by prayer and living out our call to be disciples of Jesus.
Let us pray: Loving Lord Jesus, help me to be molded in whatever ever you wish so that I follow your calling.
