From today’s Scripture: “For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands.” —2 Tm 1:6
Each of us has gifts and talents that God has given us for some definite purpose. Through the imposition of the Holy Spirit, we have the opportunity to grow stronger and share our gifts even more. In this passage, Peter reminds his protégé, Timothy, of this truth as Timothy continues to minister in Crete.
Trusted mentors, friends, and others can help encourage us to grow more confident in our ability to take on new challenges, as Timothy did. How do you think the Lord is inspiring you to share your God-given gifts?
Let us pray: Holy Spirit, grant me the wisdom to discern your plan for me. Give me the grace to embrace my gifts and use them to build the kingdom of God.
