Third Friday of Easter Season

Daily Reflection

Third Friday of Easter Season

Remain in me.

From today’s Scripture: ”’Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.’—Jn 6:56

Communion signifies “union with.” We always long to be united with the ones we love. Jesus found a way for us to be with him always. We remain in him and he remains in us. Have we come to take for granted this wonderful gift of his?

Take some time to be present to Jesus and enjoy his company next time you receive the Eucharist. Remain with him and let him remain with you. Pray the verse from the psalms: “Be still and know that I am God” (Ps 46:10).

Let us pray: Jesus, I believe you are with me. Today, I want to really be present with you. Help me to be totally aware of your real presence in me.
