Third Thursday of Lent

Daily Reflection

Third Thursday of Lent

Trust in God.

From today’s Scripture: “Listen to my voice; then I will be your God and you shall be my people. Walk in all the ways that I command you, so that you may prosper.”—Jer 7:23

Our world is full of distractions. Even as I type this, I hear a ding on a cellphone, my ‘to-do’ list in my head, and then my phone rings. The day gets busy! My mom always tells me to pray “God, arrange my time!” And you know what? It really works. I shut my door, shut my eyes, take a deep breath and listen. Even if it’s just for a moment, it’s really important that we find this quiet place to continue our relationship with the Lord. Give it a try today!

Let us pray: God, you make time for us every day. Thank you! Help me to give more time to you today, and quiet my mind and my body so that I can truly listen for your voice.
