Desire change.

From today’s Scripture: “But with contrite heart and humble spirit let us be received.”—Dn 3:39
Having toddlers in my house, the word sorry is often said. Siblings quarrel, parents raise their voices in anger. The kids hug it out and say the word sorry. We explain to our son that he needs to feel remorse for the unkind things he’s done to his sister and to not just say the words. We shouldn’t just let those words roll off the tongue either. God wants us to desire change, to truly feel sorrowful for our wrongdoings and to come to Him with humble, grace-filled, accepting hearts.
Let us pray: God, you love us, even when our hearts aren’t pure. Help us to be humble Christians and full of kindness and love for others.
