Third Wednesday of Lent

Daily Reflection

Third Wednesday of Lent

Thank God!

From today’s Scripture: “However, take care and be earnestly on your guard not to forget the things which your own eyes have seen, nor let them slip from your memory as long as you live, but teach them to your children and to your children’s children.”—Dt 4:9

Our memories are precious gifts from God to help us reflect on the good times, but also the difficult times. We can learn a lot from our memories. That’s why I am so grateful for the gift of memories, even the most challenging ones. Was I the best parent last week? Did I work as a team with my co-workers? How did I fulfill my role as a positive, uplifting Christian to those I encountered?

I can take my experiences, learn from them and practice positive change. From my memories and experiences, I can be the person God wants me to be.

Let us pray: God, you’ve given me the wonderful gift of experiences, turned into memories. Help me to be grateful for what I’ve done and what I’ve learned, both the trials and successes, and to be a positive role model for others.
