Thursday of the Second Week of Easter

Daily Reflection

Thursday of the Second Week of Easter

Hear my cry, Lord.

From today’s Response: The Lord hears the cry of the poor.”—Ps 34

The psalmist’s message of consolation is a welcome one to any of us who might be going through tough times. Whether it be sickness, or hunger, or loneliness: the Lord hears us when we call. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted, the Bible says, God will deliver them in due time. Here is an invitation to continue placing our trust in the Lord, no matter the circumstances of our life!

Let us pray: Bless us, God, with enough trust in your risen son so that we may never grow weary of the hope that he gives to those who place their trust in him.
